Technology Services constitutesâ¯Servusâ¯Credit Unions most significantâ¯Information and Technology assets. Leadership of Technology Servicesâ¯is integral to the successful business operations of theâ¯organization. The role ofâ¯Director of Technology Servicesâ¯willâ¯ensure streamlined operation of the corporateâ¯technologyâ¯ecosystemâ¯in alignment with the businessâ¯objectivesâ¯and established Service Level Agreements.â¯
As a senior member of the Information Services department,â¯reporting to the Head of Data Technology & Infrastructure,â¯the incumbent's major areas of responsibility include:
The Director of Technology Servicesâ¯is accountable for the planning, budgeting, sourcing, implementation and 7x24 operations of infrastructureâ¯and cloudâ¯technologyâ¯in order toâ¯meet business needs, as defined and measured by service level agreements.â¯The incumbent isâ¯alsoâ¯responsible for Enterprise Agreements andâ¯renewals with major Technology vendors (Microsoft, Nutanix, HP, Cisco,â¯ISP)â¯and ensuringâ¯effective and efficient use of such technology investments.â¯
This role will focus on management of systems and technology functional teams providing leadership and guidance on the implementation ofâ¯new technologiesâ¯and management of existing systems infrastructure. In a senior leadership role, the incumbent willâ¯be responsible forâ¯defining and ensuring the policies, procedures, and best practices for the Technology Services.â¯â¯
Scope includes:â¯
Theâ¯incumbentâ¯works withâ¯Servusâ¯stakeholder community (inclusive of vendors) andâ¯provides strategic leadershipâ¯in theâ¯translation ofâ¯Businessâ¯objectivesâ¯and critical success factors into actionable technology strategies. The position requires sound judgment, aâ¯services-orientedâ¯approach, costâ¯awarenessâ¯and considerable independence in decision making.â¯
The Director of Technology Services willâ¯be responsible forâ¯managing staffing requirements including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions of both internal and contract resources asâ¯appropriate.â¯â¯
At all times,â¯the incumbent will be responsible to balance necessary skill depth of functional teams to ensure adequate support of infrastructure services while ensuring the efficient use of resources and continuity of service from both an operational andâ¯project orientedâ¯perspective.
