Allura Partners are delighted to be supporting one of our leading Private Equity clients on a search for a Financial Controller. Our client has a growing presence across Australia and New Zealand and is recognised as a market leader in its field.

*Please note, this will be full-time, office based but can offer on-site car parking.

About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting strategic decision making. Leading a small team, the role partners closely with senior stakeholders across operations, procurement and supply chain to drive performance, improve reporting and strengthen financial controls.

Duties/Key responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, inventory and revenue recognition
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting & working capital, providing regular insights to leadership
  • Lead month-end close, consolidated reporting and preparation of board reporting packs
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, including coordination across departments
  • Maintain and improve financial controls, compliance frameworks and audit processes
Skills and experience
  • CA, CPA or ACA qualification preferred
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of reporting standards
  • Advanced financial modelling, analysis and problem-solving capability
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts and performance reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence non-finance leaders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
